Replacing skins.

Recommended Posts

2 of my rear seat cushions are starting to get small cracks in the stitching. I met w/ a vinyl guy this morning and he tells me that I would be much better off recovering as opposed to repairing (I plan on keeping the boat for a while). One of the issues that I'm seeing is that the vinyl is kind of unique to each specific boat. I'm sure it is going to be difficult to get a custom job that matches the rest of the boat exactly.

I know that everyone on here swears by Chee, so is it worth it to just have him do 2 new skins. The rest of the interior is in great shape. If he is really the only way to go, can someone give me a ballpark on what 2 seat cushions would run me?

maybe 300 from chee, but your info says you have a 2008. I think you will still need to get skins from the factory for a 2008. I ordered one skin for my iRide (back cusion, pretty small) and it was $200 just for the skin (not installed) from Malibu.
