found a stress crack

Recommended Posts

when i was putting a coat of wax on the bu i noticed two stress cracks under the side window. One is about 4" and the other as about an inch. They are a foot apart.i also noticed that the swim platform and stern are starting to oxidize. Is any or all of this covered under warranty? It is a 2007 purchased new, by me in 2008.

I believe the hull has a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser if I'm not mistaken. Your dealer should be able to take care of you on this

I believe stress cracks of the gelcoat are not warrantied as they do not effect structural integrity. I hope i'm wrong. As for the oxidization, wet sanding and a buff could take care of it, otherwise they may have to re-spray the areas.

I dont think its covered outside the 3 year warranty. They are probably from the screws in the windshield. They are more cosmetic than anything. I would save it for a winter project repair.

One year on stress cracks, it will be on your dime to get it repaired. At least this is the case on 2011's.
