Look under the steering wheel where all the wires for your gauges and everything are. There should be a red inline fuse. Try that.

Mine has two inline fuses under there... one for wedge... one for the power button. Make sure you don't pick the one to the power button.

the power wedge only deploys when the boat is at idle speed in forward, right?

It will deploy when the boat is at rest, but it will not go up unless the speedo paddle wheel is indicating that the boat's moving at around 3 mph, a safety feature to ensure nobody gets caught between the platform and the wedge while the boat's on the trailer or someone's swimming around the stern.

If it's not deploying, he's right to be starting with fuses.

I checked under the dash again last night and no in-line fuse found. I started unplugging and replugging in connectors and it started working. Must be an electrical issue

What connectors did you unplug? I have a buddy with a 2010 vlx that is having the same issue with his power wedge. The wedge actuators do not make a sound when the deploy button is pushed leading me to think there is an electrical issue with his as well.
