I know there is a lot of threads on this forum on this but none of them really work for me. I am a very visual person. I think this thing is on the starboard side bottom pulley? Is it on the bow or stern side of the pulley that I pull off to replace? Any tips would be much apprecieated too. thanks.

Assuming that you have the chevy mercruiser 350, yes the impeller housing is on the starboard side, bottom pulley. It is behind the pulley(stern side). Remove the 4 or 5 bolts at the back of the housing and the whole thing will seperate from the pulley. If it is the original, it is a two piece housing. Once removed you can push the old impeller out of the housing. Reinstall the new impeller using some vasoline to make it easier.

The original should be a 3 pieces. the pully/bearing that is powered by the fan belt, the housing for the impellor, and the cap where the inlet and outlet hoses connect.

There is an upgrade, which takes the housing for the impellor and the cap and integrates them into on piece.

Be care when taking apart, as the pump will accomodate LH and RH rotation engines.
