Just came up from the boat. 10 pm dropped the boat down on the lift and fired it up let it run until the thermostat is open 160+. Put it back up and light back in the engine compartment. The temp is going down to low 20s tonight. Now I will sleep well tonight. We have had poor weather now for the last 2 weeks wind, snow rain only got 1 ski in in the last 5 days.

It is a nice feeling when you know she's nice and warm. I've had to park the bu in the attached garage versus the pole barn the last few weeks when the temps cooled down. We did get in a couple runs Monday. It was a little chilly with temps in the 50's.

We don't have our vlx in yet but do have the pontoon in. People say they are self draining and I did bump start it for second to drain the water, so we shall see. I'm a bit nervous. Crazy thing is there are probably 5 inboards on lifts on the lake already. :/

She'll be fine....it's amazing how long that massive chunk of iron and water holds heat. My motor is usually still quite warm to the touch the morning after a lake evening in the summer.
