Battery Box Build

Switched over to the golf carts this year and wanted to build a box that would fully enclose the pair and allow proper ventilation with ample openings for wiring. Here is what I came up with.

Box is built out of 3/4" birch that was glued and nailed. All edges were routered over and box was sealed with epoxy resin. Next step is to carpet with matching Malibu Carpet.

Here are some pics of the progress. The top is screwed on, but the screws are hidden.

No pics of in the boat yet but we put the bare wood box in there this weekend and went out - it worked well.

It is going to sit underneath the observers storage area where the battery switch and amp rack are located. It does not take up as much room as I thought it would.
