bow roller cushion

Wax the boat. Doesn't stop the rubbing. But it makes the black marks clean up easily.

Also apply wax to the roller itself.

If you have black rollers, replace them with the non-marking rollers, leaves less of a mark but still get some. I used acetone to clean off and then waxed real good, now I can wipe off. Apply wax every few trips in that area has helped.

Are you power loading it? I winch mine up to the bow roller since the boat stops about a foot to a foot and a half before getting that far up the trailer, so I really don't have much pressure when it gets that close to it.

I think the OP has the cheap black roller just replace it with a non markering roller. Many trailer builder put on the cheap rollers.

I had to do it on my trailer and wala no more marks...

I had the black roller on mine as well as my previous boat. Replaced the one on both with a Stoltz roller (not sure of the spelling) and never got another mark. Here is what came on the trailer for my Malibu.

Here is the upgraded roller.

My Malibu was getting marks after only a couple launched prior to swapping rollers..

This should be the first upgrade anyone gets.

Replaced my stock non-rolling yellow roller with a Stotz roller and haven't had an issue. Of course I have the Keel Guard (boat pics) all the way under the rub rail also so that helps also.
