Camera mounts... possibly Wakejak

I've been looking at the few camera mounts available.. and some of the experiences on this site. Does anyone have the wakejak and use it for skiing? I'd like to be able to both mount it for skiing on the pylon (vdrive) and on the tower for boarding. It seems like the long graphite rod wouldn't work with the pylon... but does anyone think it would be possible to fashion a short rod to connect to the mount to track the ski rope? Any thoughts on other systems out there? Thanks.
