Custom Cover dimensions

Recommended Posts

I have a 1996 Malibu Echelon LX. I'm wondering if anybody knows if it is the same rub rail location and windshield location as a similar years Response LX for a custom boat cover to be made. Cory with evolution covers does not have the pattern for an Echelon LX but may be able to model it off a Response.

I'm under the impression that the boats are basically the same. Does anybody have any experience with this?

Does anybody in the Seattle/Everett area own a Echelon LX? If so, Cory from Evolution covers would be willing, if you are, to come over and measure your boat for me to get one of his covers.

Thanks

This has been talked about before as Corey doesn't have an echelon template. If it were a regular cover I would say its close enough. But I'm not sure how close the tolerances are for an EVO cover since my understanding is it needs to be tight, otherwise it will pool water.

The echelon has a taller deck than the response of the same years, but that doesn't mean the rub rail is in a differen't location. In 99 the Response got a new deck / windshield and trunk.

So my $.02 is if he has a 98 or older Response to model it off of it will be closer than the 99 +
