Removing ECM from a 2011 VLX

Recommended Posts

I have a 2011 VLX and need to remove the ECM where is it located and what tools do i need to do the job

Are you having problems? I though the ECM had a three year warranty on it.

Just a suggestion, but would it be a better route to have your dealer tackle this? If anything goes wrong at least its all on there shoulders and Malibu, not yours.

And what is going on with your ECM to need replacement?

Its above the transmission at the back of the engine (towards the bow for a v-drive) Pretty sure all you need is a nut driver to take off the mounting screws, electrical connections come off by hand.
