New SurfBoard

I bought a ronix surfboard last season when we got the boat and looking to upgrade to something different. It's a small board and believe to be more of a trick board( I'll get specs when I go back out to boat this weekend). Surfing is something I love to do now especially since I'm rehabbing my shoulder from previous sports/wakeboard injuries and after dislocating it 6 times it hurts to be pulled on a wakeboard. The boat is a factory Malibu 23 lsv wakesetter with every ballast option and the adjustable wedge, plan to add some fat sacs but I'm looking for a board that I can just cruise on and have some fun. I'm also 6'0 200 pounds with an athletic build so take my height and weight into consideration

I've been riding an Obrien Alias 4'6" for a long time. Rode just like a Hyperlite broadcast, but was a little smaller, and dove too easy.

Was waiting for the right deal on a 4.9 broadcast, and found a Coex instead.

The Coex FREAKING ROCKS. A little higher performance than the broadcast style, turns quick, accelerates quick.

I'd demo one. Best board we've had out so far....

Find some deals on on Surf brand boards. Inland Surfer, Phase5, TripleX. We had a Ronix, sold it, now have a few boards for diff rider preferances and it makes a world of differance in performance and enjoyment. The IS Swallow we have is fast and an awesome board, great to progress on. The surf brand boards have a way better surf feel and performance is great compared to the "wanna be" surf boards put out by wakeboard companies. Check out youtube and vimeo videos, you'll see for yourself.
