Heated Seat Install

Recommended Posts

Hi Crew -

I'm working on an Exile system and heater install. While I have the seat out I wanted to throw in a driver's heated seat element. High wife factor :whistle:

For some reason I expected to find a wiring harness near the base of the seat....don't know where I picked up that impression.

How are you routing wire to the panel? Do you remove the entire base?

I think I can gain subfloor access on the left side (towards passenger) but that doesn't seem right to me.

Here's a pic;

For kicks, here's a few before/after pics of the Exile install;

....bump, anyone with heated seat?

Are the wires routing under the carpet / floor or is there a wire loom on top of the carpet to the side panel (green line)?

unfortunately, my boat is still in storage, but i am 99% sure that the wire actually runs down the seat base, then across the floor to the storage pocket, and then up the wall to the fuses.
