Getting ready to add my exile speakers to the factory bow locations in my LSV. I was looking for any tips or tricks for cutting the vinyl and securing it. Obviously I don't want to screw this up. I've had no trouble cutting or drilling any other holes in the boat but the vinyl for some reason I'm being cautious.

"Pizza" cut the vinyl and foam. If its fiberglass behind there, then you will want to drill pilot holes for the mounting screws. If its the composite board, then the screws should make thier own holes with no problem. Once you mount the speaker, the vinyl will be held under it. Do not cut out a round circle the same size as the opening. This may allow the vinyl to creep out over time as it contracts with age.
