Powered FM boosters rarely work well. Even before the digital age when radio stations and HU manufacturers cared about FM quality and invensted money into the technology we never had luck with them.

Buy a solid whip antenna and tie it up horizontally under your gunwhale. If that doesn't work, tie it to your tower.

Such a thing does not exist unfortunately. Over the years we've had customers try them all.

For best results stream it on your phone if the station has it online.

Or a power antenna off the top of the tower?

We love Pandora streamed from the cell phone.....music all day and no songs to load or buy. I had a group of 13 y/old girls on the boat (daughter's friends). I ask one what her favorite song was, set that to the Pandora station. At the end of the day the girls commented on how I played every one of their favorite songs and how surprised they were i had them. Free or for $35 bucks a year, no commercials. Better than XM to me and a lot cheaper.

The 'T' style electronically amplified FM antennas that are routinely used on large cruisers absolutely make a major difference! We have been successfully using these for years. They do not typically work in a moving automobile that is rapidly changing its relationship with tall buildings because of the multipath issues. The problem is that the out-of-phase and unwanted reflected signals are also amplified. So you get more noise and picket-fencing along with more signal strength. But in a boat you are in a rural area and you do not have multipath issues. So it really helps. But there are limits depending on your situation. If you are in a flat reservoir and just on the fringe it will do wonders. If you are 90 miles out from the tower or in a sunkin basin then it is a waste of your investment.

If this is what David is talking about then go to your local car audio dealer:

We've installed dozens of those over the years and they work about as well as a whip in our experience--depending on area surroundings like David said.
