Older Swoop Tower Wiring

So we had a nice day out, snow was melting, 50 degrees, figured I'd go drill the tower to finally start mounting my speakers.

Drilled first hole then stuck a panduit in to see how easy it'd be to get past a connection point I was unsure of. Well after repeated probing and then studying the joint, I realized it's solid :Frustrated:

The center 2' or so of this swoop tower is a piece unto itself whose ends lock together with the other parts of the tower and have cap screws locking them together.

The only option I see, besides upgrading towers, is to sneak the wires out the bow side of the tower at the first speaker mount, straight through the cross member, then back into the center 2' section to hit the 2 middle speakers. Then on the other side, the same thing to reach the final speaker. (the blue tape is a locator for the first 2 speaker brackets.)

Anyone ever run into this and have a better solution?

Now I need a few

Wow what a mess, mine is a single tube all the way accross. You might want to take the wires out on top to help keep them hidden. That is the only idea I have.

Good luck

I had one of those towers in '01 on a Sunsetter. That's what I had to do too.

Ii's been awhile but it seems like the towers that were installed after the boat left the factory got these towers instead of the one piece towers. They would break apart for shipping easier.
