Correct Perko Battery Switch Question

Recommended Posts

Steve B.

I bought a new Perko battery switch for the boat. I may have bought an incorrect model and could use some help.

The one I had was an Perko 8501, I bought an 8503. The one I just bought has the "field disconnect" lugs showing, where the one I had did not.

Do you think this one will work fine on a 95 merc 350? Thanks in advance,

Steve B.

Oh, here's a link to their switches:

Yes that is correct, those field disconnects are optional and not requried to be hooked up. Just don't go shutting your perko OFF while the boat is running and it will be all good.
