Compression Test

Have a person coming this weekend to buy my boat, and he wanted me to perform a compression test on the engine, which has 590 hours on it. The engine is the indmar 350 carb. The numbers I got were 170, 165, 165, 165, 170, 170, 165, 170 counter clockwise starting on the right side of the motor looking from the drivers seat. Test was performed at running temp with the plugs out. I am seeing conflicting numbers online, but it seems these are normal, and are all within <10% of each other. Just making sure the numbers seem good to you guys as well.

Thanks

yes those # are about right 165-175 is normal for a small block engine. Its also good you checked when warm , did you have a battery charger hooked up to keep the cranking amps the same if not that could be the reason the # are up and down . also did you open the trotal to wot? all in all it looks good to be and if i was buyer i would be happy!

Ah yes I did forget to mention the throttle was wide open. I did not have the battery hooked up to a charger, but it had just come off the charger...so it was at least fully charged to begin with. I suppose that could be the difference with the numbers. Thanks for the quick reply
