Synthetic Teak

Recommended Posts

I saw a boat on my dealer's showroom floor a while back that had a synthetic teak product in place of the factory rubber matting.

I love the teak look and I am considering putting it on my boat. Before I do, I would like some input from the crew.

Does anyone have experience with any of the synthetic teak products?

There are several brands on the market. Is there one brand that is preferable?

How does this material hold up with normal use?

How about Sea Dek?

This certainly looks like Seadek. Great product, however the fake teak covering gets super hot to the feet. I have a very dark color on my swim platform and this Seadek product gets way hotter than mine for some reason. Looks good though.
