Picking up used boat.

Recommended Posts

My buddy just bought a 98 Supra Legacy and is picking it up next Monday. He asked me to come along, but I can't make it, so he's asking for things to look for. The dealer is doing a lake test with him, so he will be able to run it for a bit.

Any help would be appreciated.

It is the things you can't easily see that he/she should have checked out. A compression test is an important test on a used boat.

He should have a reputable boat mechanic go through it. Preferably by somebody other than the mechanic at the dealership selling it.
