Rack Organization Help

Hey guys. I currently have 2 racks which fit 4 wakeboards. I started surfing last year and would like to buy an additional rack either a dual surf or surf/wake combo. My surf board actually fits in my current wakeboard racks because its a compression molded fiberglass surfboard.

Here is the location of my rack (mirrored on other side):

I noticed when I had the surfboard in there when I cut out wide for wakeboarding sets the rope would hit the board. I also have a bimini (not pictured because I had it down this last year since I couldn't find my wingnuts ;))

Does anyone ever put racks on the front legs? Does anyone have 2 racks on the back legs and 1 rack on one of the front? Does it look weird not having a matching rack on the other leg?

Where do you guys put all your racks to make it work?

PS Is it possible to get racks exactly like i have already? They have a unique shape and have "malibu" inscribed on them.

We bought a second set of racks for the new MXZ for the primary reason that some of the short surf boards didnt fit in our old rack and cluttered the interior. Since more people surf we keep the surfboards on the lower rack system and the wakeboards on the upper one. If the MXZ had a bimini rack we would just slide the surfboards in there. Are your existing racks wide enough to fit surfboards of all type? The VLX in the showroom where we bought our boat had 2 different size racks on one side and it did seem a little odd visually

Oh I see, you just put the surfboard rack super high so the line doesn't hit the boards right? Ever had any agressive cutting wakeboarders get the line to touch one of your surfboards in those racks?

saidainc, no the racks don't have a enough clearance width wise for all surf boards.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get surf racks of the same style that I have on my boat? They are stock racks AFAIK but i bought the boat used so don't know for sure.

Your racks appear to be from Titan with the Malibu logo inscribed in them. I recall they were called the 'Cutter' rack, but could be mistaken. Contact Brett at StarOne wake and he can set you up with what you need. I ordered a ski rack to match the wakeboard rack and they came out exactly the same.
