Results From Major Shine/colonel Brassy

There were some threads on these products last year. My transom is a bit faded. I am thinking I may need to wetsand, etc., but I'd like to avoid it. Does anyone have any experience with long term results from these products? Thanks.

Long term, no, short term, yes. Colonel brassy is HIGHLY abrasive, as in you can feel sand in the product. It gouged the gel much deeper than what I was expecting but it certainly removed oxidation. I followed up with major shine and really noticed no difference from it. At the time I did not have any mid-cut compound to f/u with and just waxed. IT has held up OK, but I need to redo the darker areas with a mid and fine cut compound. Then I think the overall result will be good. IF your transom is a "bit" faded, I'd start with something milder. The brassy is more than what you need if just a bit of fading. I'd even start with collinites cleaner. It will clean up mild oxidation surprisingly well.
