Installing Adjustable Height Drivers Seat

Those are a good find. This one looks the best as far as "lower is better". I think if the base of my seat was 5" off the floor that would be about right for the lowest position. It's probably 4" or so right now.....I'm just guessing based off memory of course. I'm hoping I have that much room under the floor at the seat base. That would be a sweet, simple set-up. I think that low profile might actually work, only downfall is you only get a 3" lift, I need to measure where the seat would be if mounted on the current elevated platform. If it was a couple inches higher than the current seat at the lowest setting it would work perfect.

$203 for the entire setup is very reasonable. I wonder what the quality of this product is? And I read it is air activated, assuming similar to an office desk chair and how it lowers and raises?

I agree that this looks a good option with an adjustable height of 5 3/8" to 8 3/8". However, it does require 6 1/2" between the seat base and floor and from memory, I think I have about 5". I will measure it this weekend.

I confirmed, at least in my case with a 2011 23 LSV, I have only 5" between the seat base and floor. I don't see how I could use this option as I don't plan on cutting a hole in the floor.

Make a 2in spacer. Im sure that will cost a lot less than $2000.

Would 3" not be enough? I would think the bolster gives at least 6"??? Is there enough surface to mount the seat base?

3" of adjustment would be fine for me if it were already a few inches higher. Stock is so low its absurd. Makes absolutely no sense to me.

What about something like this. Its SS although it is a manual knob looks like the platform size is right and the height is 3 to 8"

Confirming this is air activated? I also measured and have about 5" of space between seat basin and sub-floor. According to schematic you will need 6 1/4" clearance. It would not be hard to add a spacer (1 1/4") to accomodate stem. Seems like it would also be fairly easy to bolt the Malibu seat to the top plate of the seat?

The look like they are made fairly well, does anyone have any experience with Springfield?

I found one for $129...

Springfield makes great boat seat products and options. Many Bass boats on the market use them for them for their front and rear "fishing" seats. Ranger for one uses them along with Triton and I believe that Tracker uses them as well, to list a few. They are manufactured out of Springfield, MO, close to many of these manufactures.

These lab jacks are typically used for supporting beakers, flasks, water baths, stirrers, and other lab equipment and are probably rated for a maximum load of about 50 lbs. They do look good though!!

reviving this thread :)

just found this that seems like it may be the correct dimensions for the seat base. with a 14" travel. usable lift heights of 3-6" should still be very stable

Here's a company that makes seats and lift suspnsion for some of our fire trucks. They make two "off highway" Heavy Duty Low Profile Suspensions that look very close to the ones used on the Supra's. One of them has a 6.11 inch lift (with a bellows to cover the mechanism) and the other has a 5.75 inch lift. Perhaps we could do a group buy...Below is the links:

I have looked in to this. Supra wants a few houndred bucks and then you have to start cutting and drilling. A few of us on here are doing this for much cheaper its a 6" lift. It matches the bolster hight. Much cheaper and quicker in my opinion.
