What a beautiful sound! Let me just say THANK YOU THANK YOU and THANK YOU for support and consultation. With your input, my ski buds, Paul @ Bakes and Peter @ Smoothwater.....AND especially SKIDIM (Discount Inboard Marine)'s Richard and Vince. I'm back on the water. Purrs like she used to and hit 5200RPM after considerable warm up. No leaks, rattles, clicks, or clunks. I'm ecstatic! Final issue with the blown 15amp fuse was a pinched injector wire. (lucky break finding it!). Fuel pump was just sticking, busted it loose going straight from the battery.(damn ethanol I guess.)Thanks Vince. It was quite the project. If you're a motorhead my hats off to you..... the only difference between you and a surgeon is engines don't bleed. I sure hope I get another 12 years out of this, the best boat ever made. Now on to the steering cable, but I'll be skiing tomorrow......:clap::yahoo: Thanks again, Mike

They say the best 2 days of a boat owner's life is when you buy and when you sell, but people forget how awesome it is everyday the engine fires up and the sun is shinning! Happy riding!

Awesome! Glad to hear she is purring again! There is nothing more satisfying than hearing and engine you have rebuilt fire up and run for the first time. Thumbup.gif

Nice work on finding that pinched wire....that was my bet. It's way too easy for stuff like that to happen when pulling that much of an engine apart. When I rebuilt my wife's engine in her Contour 5 years ago the insulation had flaked off the crank position sensor wires about 10 inches from the head and shorted them...that sucked to find.

BTW....welcome to the Motorhead Club. Clap.gif PS Dr's have one thing on us....we haven't figured out how to rebuild them while they are still running.....yet. LOL.gif
