Can Aft Oil In Transmission Be Changed Cold?

or does it need to warm up like engine??

ATF synthetic dextro III is the oil to be changed ,can i do it cold or does engine need to warm up like changing the engine oil ??

imho, i'd think cold would work just as good as warm if you are sucking from the dipstick port.

if you can access and drain from the bottom there may be a slight advantage to swapping out hot oil; it may flow a tiny bit better than cold oil.

I've always done it cold, its thin fluid.

Most mechanics / dealers change it cold when doing winterizations. No way to warm it unless you launch the boat. It won't warm when running the boat on a fake-a-lake or perko thingamajig.
