Is the oil pressure switch used?

Recommended Posts

Hi! There is a blue/tan wire with a 90 degree angle plug hanging by my oil pressure switch. There is nothing plugged onto the oil pressure switch right now. It has been like that since the day I got the boat. I called Indmar and Malibu tech support about this and and got two different answers. Could someone look at thier oil pressure switch(not sender), and let me know if this wire is connected to the it. Everything seems to work fine. My dash display even lets me know if the oil pressure drops below 20psi. Think I got a bad sending unit because a direct reading gauge I installed on motor shows normal (40 psi) pressure when I get the warning. Thanks in advance, this site is great. Oh yea, it's a monsoon 335 engine.
