New Cover For Sportser

Recommended Posts

rushman

Hi everyone,

Before considering a new cover for my '03 Sportster LX I searched here and it seems that Cory at Evolution seems to be a favourite. Problem is they don't have a template for my boat??? and couldn't quote me a price.

I see Great Lakes were recommended (by Peter at Smooth Water I believe) which for me is a very reputable recommendation. I was just wondering if anyone else here had any suggestions...cost is a consideration. I spoke personally to another crew member who has a Great Lakes cover and it looks great and he likes it and he got a super deal on it but my quote is somewhat higher than his cost. Just looking for any other considerations before spending about 700 plus dollars. Thanks,

Kevin

You're in luck as this was recently talked about here:

I have a stock cover from Great Lakes ... it's fine on my boat while it's in my driveway ... but isn't a towable cover as it'll rub your gel coat.

Kevin, while the Great Lakes cover for the '03 is going to be the older design with the rope instead of the ratchet strap, it's still a pretty decent cover. Email me if you have a chance.

Peter
