I got a call from my original dealer, Chessie Marine in MD, yesterday seems as though Indmar granny programmed the ECMs a little too conservative..... they are paying for the reprogram to be done..... should see better performance and perhaps decreased fuel consumption. Should take approx 20-30 mins.

Advisory SV2011-2

Subject: 6.0L ECM Recalibration

Indmar Products has determined that certain 6.0L (L96) engines built during the 2011 model

year were built with an ECM calibration that may not allow the engine to perform at the level

at which it was intended to perform. This situation can be remedied by installing an updated

calibration in the engine’s ECM.

Included with this service advisory is a list of boats that your boat manufacturer has reported

as being sold to you that contain the engines that could benefit from this voluntary ECM

recalibration.

The updated calibration can be installed in the ECM using your Diacom Diagnostic System.

Please contact [email protected] and we will e-mail the specific calibration file to you.

When you have completed the recalibrations, enter the engine serial number on the warranty

claim included with this bulletin and return the claim to us.

Although this ECM recalibration is not required and no damage will be done to the engine if

the recalibration is not done, drivability and performance may be improved with this

calibration change. Your customer may also see an improvement in fuel consumption

depending on their driving habits.
