Wiring A Switch To Turn On Eq

I am entertaining the idea of disabling the black box in my boat and controlling the system from the Audiocontroll Three.2 EQ.

I would like to be able to mount a switch that will allow to me turn the EQ on and off. This will also command the amp to turn on and off as well since the EQ will be the head piece.

Please take a look at my diagram and let me know if I have got my wiring correct. I am going to using an LED lighted rocker switch.

What for? You're turing 12v+ into a remote turn on.

Like the Light one said, in this case no.

If that were a head unit turning on 4 other pieces then you'd probably need a relay. Usually after two or three pieces of equipment (amps, eqs, etc.) some HUs struggle to turn them all on. Your battery shouldn't have a problem.

A remote turn on is simply a trigger wire for device that tells it to turn on when 12 volts are applied to the wire. Any current drawn by the device will be drawn from the +12V constant wire.

Thanks for all the input. I think the only other addition would be to fuse the power lead going into the switch
