Sv23 wake vs cut diamond wakeboard wake

Ok, so I have a 2008 Vride, and my friend has a 2007 WS VLX with the cut diamond hull. Which would be better for wakeboarding? What about surfing? Btw, my friend has the power wedge and I think 1250 pounds of factory ballast, could be 900 though. I have the floating wedge and 900 pounds of factory ballast. Any pics of both would wakes would be nice too. Thanks much
