:plus1: for Spectrum. I had to do a small repair on my ebony hull base, the process was easy and it turned out great. The kit was a 2009 kit and the color was a slightly lighter shade of ebony, but you can't tell unless you know where to look.

Spectrum black, or any black for that matter is just not "black" enough to match the factory ebony. Been over this one several times.

The problem with matching gelcoat is that is fades over time. So when you get a match kit from Spectrum it is tinted to the orignal color that the factory shot and it may not matchup perfectly.

You might want to look and see if any paint shops in your area have a portable spectrometer. Typically they can get pretty close and you can send to formula off the GelCoatProducts and they will mix you up a batch.

Another option might be to pull a seat of where you know there is GelCoat underneath and you can cut out a inch by inch square and send it to GelCoatProducts and they will match it for you. This is what I did and it worked perfect. I had them make 1 quart and them split it in half and made one of the half quarts into a paste by adding cabosil.

Don't be worried about cutting out a price of the gel and fiberglass from an area behind a seat that will never be seen.
