TIII Bimini Attachments

Looking for a better way to secure my Bimini at the front attachment point to the tower legs. The rear use a nice Ball and socket quick release, the front have the clumsy screw knob that is susceptible to being dropped overboard. Just wondering if anyone has gone to some type of quick fitting that can be used at the front leg?

Bump. I'm curious too.

I agree as well. I am always scared of putting it up on the water of the thumb screw falling in. Previous owner even had an extra thumb screw for the just in case scenarios.

I agree - that would be awesome. I hate the thumb screws on mine too.

I took a couple of longer screws cut the heads off, and threaded them into the tower mount with some loctite. It's easier, at least for me, to get the mounting bracket over the boss, then just secure it with a wing nut. Of course, I still keep extra wing nuts on board just in case.

I have seen them......but don't know where to get them. There are bimini attachements that snap into place. To release them you just slid a little lever.

BS001 has them on his custom.
