CIPA Mirror mod...

Recommended Posts

Similar to my G3 tower bolts mod, I had to fix this. I have nearly dropped this knob a hundred times, and I would hate to loose a day on the lake because I couldn't use my mirror. For this I just used a retaining wire from Discount Marine and the included coarse screw. Took about 1-2 minutes!

Great mod, to bad it is a plastic knob and will eventually strip. Mine did and I called CIPA and they sent me about 10 extras.... at the marina they were $10 knobs

Interesting, 4 yrs, 360 hrs, no issues yet! Good to know CIPA will stand behind it though! (mine does have a brass insert, I am guessing the brass insert stripped out of the plastic knob? )
