When are most people changing v drive oil? Every year end, or beginning of the season, or after so many hrs?

Tranny and v-drive every year at winterization unless you're going significantly over ?100hrs? in a season.

Edit - my manual actually says 300hrs or annually.

Interesting, the 05 manual mentions a tranny oil filter. My buddy has an 05 VLX which I helped him winterize and I don't remember anything about a tranny filter...??

So what about those that are significantly under 100 hrs? I left it alone this year with only about 35 hours of use. It's a gear box, low heat, no combustion contaminants like engine oil....I'll get it next year. This is one I do by running hours rather than calendar time.
