07+ Response LXI capacity

I'm considering moving to a RXLi, most likely used and budget puts me in 07's and 08's unless something great comes up. I want a great slalom boat but will also have families/kids/etc out on it. I've sat in a 2011 where I know the capacity sticker said 9, but I've seen others where it was 8. Looking back at some waterski mag reviews (just for quick data), it looks like the capacity changed from 8 to 9 in 2009, but has the same weight limit. As far as I know nothing major changed that would make a difference in 8 or 9 people presuming the same weight. Anyone know what the deal is and if you can get an updated sticker on an 07 or 08 for 9 capacity? I know you generally don't want that many people in a slalom boat to begin with, but on busier days the +1 capacity could make a difference if I have a bunch of kids and the river cops decide to give us a look for something.

Interestingly enough, I checked the manuals online and it didn't go from 8 to 9 until the 2011 manual.

Also, not capacity related but can a wedge plate/wedge be added to any 07+ RLXi if it's not already there? Or are there reinforcements that aren't done if not ordered with the plate, making it impossible to add later?

Describe how you think you'll use the boat and that will us a better idea whether the RLXi is a good fit or not. And to specifically answer your wedge question, yes, a wedge can always be added later. As onamission said, it's just a matter of how much you want to pay. The transom is ready/capable of holding a wedge.

Thanks. I thought I had read a few things while searching about having to provide a hull id to add a wedge to see if it was capable, but maybe that only applied to older boats. I won't worry about it.

Re: capacity, rarely will I have that many. I'll usually do a ski type outing (main use, want to get into the course) or smaller family type outing (sub 6 people/kids), but I can see occasions if not now then in the future where I might hit 8-9 with kids/friends/etc. Just wanted to double check the capacity. Sounds like it won't be an issue.

Thanks guys.
