Out of Gas,

Hello Crew,

Need advice, Have 2005 23 XTI. Engine keeps runing out of gas with 15 gals +/- still in tank. Add 2 - 3 gals or more engine runs perfect. Replaced pick up tube, fuel pump, filters etc, still runs out of gas. Local Malibu dealer Clueless. Drying up like a leaf, need help ! Thanks, SKIBIRD

Do you have your vent closed or covered for surfing? When you run out of gas if you open your gas cap do you hear air rushing in?

Could the tank vent be clogged and not allowing the pump to pull from the tank?

The vent is a great place to start. try running it "out of gas" again and just open you fill cap and put it back on. Will it start back up? If so the boat is drawing a vacuum on the tank and can't pull fuel.
