Engine starts and dies

Hello All

I need some advice on my problem...

I have a 2004 23 LSV with the hammerhead 380 and I have been having intermitent issues with the engine cutting out.

Here is what happened while out on the lake this past weekend:

Pulled wakeboarders for a couple hours with no issues. Then after a small break between riders I started to pulled the rider to speed (19mph) and just as the boat was approaching spped the engine cut out. Tried to start it several times but it would only start up and quickly die. Across the display read "oil P", so naturally I checked the oil level. It was a quart low. Not critical I thought. But there was something the computer didn't like. Added a quart and nothing. Tried resetting the computer (if this was even possible) by turning off the batteries. Still nothing. Then while trying to start one of the many times I disconnected the throttle position sensor and it stayed running. Rough, but running none the less. So we taxied back to the marina. While driving back I tried to varing the rpms and it didin't want to go past 15mph or so. So I kept the boat at that speed all the way back to the marina. The warning alarm was sounding the entire time the engine was running but no warning display. I figured the warning was because the TPS was disconnected.

So my question is: Is there a way to reset the computer after a oil pressure warning? And why would disconnecting the TPS enable the engine to stay running? Or, are there other issues at play?

Any help would be great!

Rob

Ran it in the driveway today with a fake a lake and same issue. I'm going to install a new TPC and see if that fixes the problem!

Does anyone know if you can purchase a replacement TPC from an autopart store?

Part #?

Thanks...
