IXFE, that is not a good place to store the ski. The fin on your wifes ski would cut the bimini eventually. It will have lots of room to store several skis down the port side seating. We keep 2 slalom skis, 1 pair adult combos and 1 pair junior combos inder there as well as a beach umbrella and a couple of really large water guns!

Is this a stable location to store a ski? I'd hate for it to fall down on my head.

I only ask because I'd love to find a place to store my wife's slalom ski on our new VLX.

I wouldn't put a slalom ski up there. Those are my kids trainer skis so very small, light and tiny little fins on them.
