windshield tint

I live in Yorba Linda, CA, anyone know where I can get my windshield tinted? I'm assuming not just a normal car tint shop

Some car tint shops will do it. The good thing is you don't have the curved glass of the older Wakesetters. Any local wake boat dealer should be able to steer you in the right direction as well. If there is not one close to you, I'd call a few car tint shops.

Ive used a car tint shop the past two boats ive owned... Great results if they are willing to take their time.

Car tint shops should be able to help you out. Use ceramic film if possible, it blocks the most heat/glare. Makes a difference when the sun is low and reflecting off the water.

Something worth adding about ceramic window film. You can get a 78 percent light transmittance film in a ceramic product that is essentially clear. In other words you can't detect its application. Its normally used on automobiles and is totally legal for use on windshields (at least in Texas) without a medical excemption. I'm adding it to the windshield of my car and my wife's SUV. The ceramic version of the clear film has 99 percent UV rejection with almost the same solar heat reduction as a pure dyed limo tint (5% film). There is no loss of visibility at night. So its totally safe. It will eliminate a marginal amount of glare. With today's film technology, darkness doesn't always equate to heat reduction. So you can get all the heat reduction and UV rejection benefits without compromising your night or dusk vision and without changing the appearamce of the boat at all. Of course there are those who are looking for a change in appearance and with that comes some night vision issues. But you do have other options.
