I have the option to buy a new/used 2011 with full warranty/ 150 hrs for 74K with what seems to be every option(full balast, pop up bow light, complete deck kit non skid, rear sun deck walk over, battery option 3, 2 outlet heater, power wedge, maliview, boat cover, bimini, trailer w/20's led lights, prop guard and 4 wheel disc, gold sound pack with 12 sub, and sound pack 1, docking lights, and hot water shower with the 350 motor). Is this a solid price? Should it be cheaper?

Thats middle of the road to slightly high. Thats a 75-80K ish boat brand new. I am assuming 350 motor? What speakers are on the tower? Post some pics or paste the link to it online. Is the boat otherwise flawless?

IMHO, although 150hrs is nothing in the life of the boat, only giving you a 3-4K discount for that type of use i dont believe is quite enough to make it a GREAT deal. That boat could be a GREAT deal at $67-70k if you ask me. Now I have no idea where you are at, or the availablitiy/supply of other comparable boats in your area....IE a Malibu in Dallas/Orlando would likely cost less than a Malibu in an area with a lot fewer boats, we've seen this have a $5-10K difference in price on here several times.

Here's a bit of advice to perhaps force them to drive the price down some. 150hrs = 4 req'd services/oil changes. 20hr, 70hr, 120hr and they did this last one at 150? Ask for the 4 sets of service paperwork along with all other waranty records/services done on the boat. at 150hrs of use, whoever was using it was on the water a lot...they had it at the dealer for a week at a time x 3-4 weeks for these services and still racked up 150hrs? Its certainly possible...just a consideration.

For most of us on this discussion board who obsess about boats every day, 150 hours is not much trouble. But the average Joe, who is the guy who will probably buy the boat when you sell, 150 hours is going to seem like a big deal compared to a boat with less hours. So you should be getting a significant discount, just based on the hours.

In 2 years, when people are looking at 2 year old boats with 250 hours vs. 100 hours, which would most buyers prefer?

I am not sure about Malibu, but I know at least one mfg. that will not allow a dealership to sell a demo boat with new warranty if it has over 40 hours on it. They are supposed to sell it as used with the warranty beginning when it hit 40 hours.
