A little more of a project than anticipated

I pulled all of the decals off the boat this weekend including the Reg. numbers. What I didn't anticipate was the Reg. numbers were painted on. I didn't like them because they had a 2D effect. After experimenting with different things, Acetone and a 3M scuff pad worked the best to remove the paint. It did dull the gel coat but I wet sanded and buffed it back to life.

for future reference, easy off oven cleaner (or the generic walmart equivalent) also works really well.

The differance is like night and day.

Looks really good. I like the clean look of our boats, they really dont need the sitckers.
