A little more of a project than anticipated

I pulled all of the decals off the boat this weekend including the Reg. numbers. What I didn't anticipate was the Reg. numbers were painted on. I didn't like them because they had a 2D effect. After experimenting with different things, Acetone and a 3M scuff pad worked the best to remove the paint. It did dull the gel coat but I wet sanded and buffed it back to life.

I'll align the 2012 registration sticker up with the reg. numbers when it comes in December.

Another pic at the lake this weekend, got her all buffed out and waxed on Saturday. I also pulled the really fugly stickers off the trailer.

I got some of these this spring, and I can't believe how much they fadded... :unsure:

Yup, I'm just going to glue carpet on mine. They will look nice and be functional.
