A little more of a project than anticipated

Recommended Posts

LS-One

I pulled all of the decals off the boat this weekend including the Reg. numbers. What I didn't anticipate was the Reg. numbers were painted on. I didn't like them because they had a 2D effect. After experimenting with different things, Acetone and a 3M scuff pad worked the best to remove the paint. It did dull the gel coat but I wet sanded and buffed it back to life.

Here's before and after.

I'll align the 2012 registration sticker up with the reg. numbers when it comes in December.

for future reference, easy off oven cleaner (or the generic walmart equivalent) also works really well.

Yeah,

It sure does.

Is the next "upgrade" a wood dash and steering wheel?

Well none the less, what you have done has really added to the boat. You have one sleek boat.
