Folding Tower Down an Cover

We are moving our boat into some cheaper storage for the winter and will have to fold the tower down. Since we will not be using it over the winter it is not that big of a deal to collapse the tower. But I do have a couple of questions.

We have the grey stock 2011 Wakestter VLX cover, does folded down tower go underneath the coveror will it rest on top of the cover?

Are there any special areas that I need to mindful of when resting the tower on the boat in?

Thanks for you help.

The tower will rest on top of the cover. If you have a bimini, I would make sure to take that off, as well as get covers for any tower speakers. If you have a mirror on your windshield, you may need to remove it if you need an extra inch or two, as well as the rear bar across the back of the tower (unless you have the clearance to keep it on). I have to fold the tower down after every use, but its easy with just pulling two bolts, and a lot cheaper since I can keep the boat at home. When we are done for the winter, I also throw a tarp over the whole boat (including tower) to try and keep the dust / dirt and any pests out.

we are able to fold the tower down while the boat is covered. the tower rests on a 2x4 in the rear and the the front of the tower rests on the windshield.
