More time for cleaning/maintenance. I love a freshly waxed boat!

Plus not spending money on gas, nor is it getting wear and tear. One of the reasons I love sailing. I can spend an afternoon doing that vs. boating, and it costs me nothing if the boat doesn't break something :)

True on the gas money! I don't sail, but I suspect it's the same draw as flying gliders (I'm a pilot). It's quiet, and the sheer harnessing of nature. However, I'd still rather be flying through the air behind the boat!
