Fuel Fill Tube Problem

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I have a '05 Malibu I ride. After our morning ski run, one of my friends was refueling the boat and lost a 8" long, 1- 1 1/2 " diameter flexible tube on the end of the gas tank in my starboard fuel port. Does anyone have experience with retrieving this? WIll it hurt to run the boat before I remove the tube?

Thanks for any help.

The fill nozzle from the gas can? If that's the hose you're talking about, it shouldn't be a problem. Getting it out is gonna be a P.I.T.A.

I have no comment on whether to run or not for now, but lift back seat and locate the large rubber furl hose going to the tank and remove/loosen clamp and pull tube off. I don't know how good access is on iride but you would then be in position to see if in tank or hose and go from there trying to get out. good luck.
