Ballast in boat while driving

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if its bad to travel with our fat sacks full while headed to the boat launch? We have 2 155# fat bricks, a 400# v-drive sack and another 440# sack. We normally dont fill the 440# until on the lake and want to surf but we travel about 13 KM (8 miles) and most of it is highway speeds between 60-90 km/h (38-55 mph). We just find it more convenient to fill them at home with a garden hose rather than out on the lake, mind you we have only done it maybe twice this summer
