Wiring layout

Recommended Posts

Hey just trying to see if anyone knows where I could get a layout of what wires do what on the radio control. Its on a 02 TXi and its the lower piller where the temp and hours guages are. I cant seem to find anything on what each wire does...

Reason for the question is I have a radio that is a aftermarket car radio that the previous owner installed. Well he ran it hard wire so the controler doesnt work. Now im trying to see if I can get the radio to work through the controler on the boat.

Really...no one has any info on it? IM just trying to find out what each color does, i.e. power/remote/constant etc.. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Knowing what wire does what won't help most likely. Need to know what controller you have, what new stereo you have and what control you need. Most aftermarket stereos use a bus protocol of some sort to communicate with their wired remotes, although it is surely possible that isn't the case for all.

Ahhh that clears some stuff up. Its a JVC radio that is for a auto. I dont know what the differance from a marine and auto radio would be other than the marine would be more sealed than a auto one.
