2006 Illusion Tower

A friend told me the other day that the Illusion tower in 2006 has a mechanism to make it easier to raise and lower the tower. Is this true, does anybody have any info. on this and if it is true can it be added to a 2005 Illusion Tower???

I'm not sure if it can be added, but yes, it is true. I don't have it installed on my tower yet because we had some problems with the fit, but once we get that ironed out then I'll be able to tell you more about it. Contact your dealer to find out about retrofitting to an '05.

Then they're paying MC for the patent use.

Maybe. I thought that the MC patent specifically dealt with the light being on top of the tow spool, which is not the case.

yes it is true, my new 2006 v-ride has one and it is awsome. It has a spring under the gunnel that has a wire attached to it that attaches to the tower.
