Throttle on 1995

Recommended Posts

I was working on my 1995 Sunsetter the other day and had to unhook the throttle cable from the shifter/throttle lever. When I reassembled it I am now having problems with maintaining steady speed, unless I keep steady presure on the handle it immediately slows the engine down to almost an idle, i.e. if I let go of the handle it goes to idle.

any suggestions will be appreciated.

I used to have a 1996 Tantrum and the throttle handle did the same thing the whole time I owned the boat. That was probably the way it was supposed to be back then.

It should work that way I think, I have a 95SS as well and mine always did that.
