Carling switch panels.

Has anyone used any aftermarket switch panels that fit the stock style Carling dash switches?

Is price the issue? I bought a new three way switch directly from WSA for my 00 VLX. It seems that they were only $15 or so dollars then you can purchase the cover with the correct label for another few bucks.

Switches are not the problem, I need the panels that hold the extra switches. I want to add a few extra switches and my dash panels are full.

How many extra do you need to find space for?

My LSV is an early '04. The mid & bow tanks are on the same switch. All the others are being used. I only need to add one but I might as well add 2 or 3 while I am at it for future use.

Dana Marine has these but they are way too much $$ ($66). I'm looking for something that will match the dash better. I may have to make a panel to get what I am looking for.

Here is a 4 gang but it's $189....that's nuts!!

Is this what your looking for?

See Mounting Module at the bottom of the page.

Sort of, I looked at that one but the snap together modules kind of threw up a flag. They are cheap enough that I might order some of them and see.

Thanks.

Are you using the Sony remote for your stereo? Do you have the stereo on one of the accessory switches?

Stereo is on one of the switches and I'm running two XM-10 remotes. What are you thinking?

They're making a new mount for that remote that has a spot for the switch built into it. It's a bit larger than the standard mount, but if you can't find a clean solution for the panel, it may do what you need to accomplish. My dealer had them in stock last time I was up there.

That sounds interesting, I'll check.

why not hook the stereo up to the acc position on the key? (do newer boats still have this?)

then just use the stereo switch spot in the dash.

Still need em??

Is price the issue? I bought a new three way switch directly from WSA for my 00 VLX. It seems that they were only $15 or so dollars then you can purchase the cover with the correct label for another few bucks.

A Carling Contura 2 light, on-off-on, 7 terminal switch is under $7.00, an on-off, 1 light, 5 terminal switch is under $5.00 and the switch cover is under $1.50 (plus everything is less in quantities of 10 or more).

Switches are not the problem, I need the panels that hold the extra switches. I want to add a few extra switches and my dash panels are full.

The OE Carling mounting panels are snap together, they will cost you under .90 cents each. A single switch mounting panel will cost you $1.05

Check it out here:

Waytek.com (they are based in MN) click on products and then go to "Select a Category" then go to switches, then Contura and then go thru the pages and you will find the switch covers, then the switches and then the switch boxes.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to get out there to the boat as soon as work lets up a little. They just told us tonight we had to have 100, 2007 Escalades ready for the Super Bowl, 98 Black and 2 other colors. Cry.gif

Send one of them my way when the Superbowl is done with them.

I didn't hear what they were going to be used for. Probably to haul players or press around. I'm sure they will be available somewhere after it's over.

Question is, do you want one the winning team used or the loosing team?

I'll take the loosing team one - just knock $45K off asking price because the team lost

Thanks Tracie, it looks like this mount will work great, plus it gives me two more switches.
