Bimini Recomendations for 94 Echelon LX

I need to add a bimini and I am not sure of the size to order. I know the width is 75 inches but I am not sure how to determine the height for this boat. 30 inches seems aweful low. I need suggestions on what brand to buy, best location to mount it, and height. I only get one shot at it and want to do it right. It is hard to do online without being able to see it on a boat. Thanks for the help.

I've thought of this too. Do you have a local canvas shop or marina that can help you? That would be my first resource if I decided to go ahead with one.

I just got one last winter for my boat and I love it. I actually got it as a gift, so I will have to double check the info tonight. I am pretty sure it is:

CV6924 Fabric: Sharkskin. 3-Bow Frame. 30"-32" height. 5' long. Top Width: 73"-78". Designed for Tournament Ski Boats. - Bought from Barts Watersports:

I mounted mine to the top of the fiberglass, just outside the windshield frame. I can take pictures of the mounting location and of the bimini top tonight when I get home. I really like the height and location of it.

It is a Westland Bimini. The number on the tag says 3075 X.

It measures 76" wide at the mounting points. It measures about 35" tall from the top of the deck (mounting point) to the underside of the bimini (at the sides).

It has a slight bow in it and the middle is a little taller. From the floor of my boat, it is 5'-0" tall to the middle.

The only other comment is if you mount it where I did, be sure not to put it too close to the windshield frame. There are rivets on the bimini frame that will hit the windshield frame if it is too close. I didnt realize this and had to drill out and move the rivets to the opposite side. Not a big deal, but easy to avoid if you know about it.

Let me know if you want any other info.

I've always liked the look of two bar biminis:

And the Barefoot Intl Ragtop, which is no holes and adjustable height:

Edit, I know they're not Malibus, but they are great looking biminis and boats!

Do they make the top bimini for the Sportster ( 1999 no tower /closed deck )?....if so who makes it?

Thanks

I know it has been a while but I just got my bimini. I ordered it from discountbiminitops.com. I could not go through another summer without one. It is a 3075 top. I had some issues with the hardware. Two of the screw heads twisted off while installing. Getting the screws out was a real pain. It is not easy to do without damaging the gel coat. I was very disappointed in the quality of the hardware. When the head strips off when you are screwing it by hand there is something wrong. I am just hoping it makes it through the first summer. Otherwise it looks good. I also installed the rear brace kit so I can leave it in the upright position if I want to . I will let you know how well that works once I use it for the first time.

I finally ordered a Bimini. 105 in lake powell without it put me over the edge. I bought the 3075 westland with sunbrella and stainless mounts. Hopefully it will fit under the tower if not no worries. I'm excited to have some shade!!
